Blue Fox's Adventure
A downloadable game for Windows
2D platformer where you play as a blue fox and collect coins. It has 7 levels unlockable by spending in game coins. (Now with micro transactions to be able to buy coins in the form of surprise mechanics /s).

This game was made in Unity with the programming language C#, with graphics created by me in Aseprite. I also made a short music track for the levels and the main menu, which was made with an online tool. The game uses tilesets, with each tile being 16x16 pixels, and places on a grid in the level to make sure the tiles line up with each other properly. It was made for a college assignment which I got a distinction on.
Each level has a short timer that you have to beat the level within before it runs out, and the more time left on the timer upon beating the level, the more coins the player gets. Some coins are also bigger, which makes them worth more coins and add more to the coin count. This is based off of 3 different times, the shortest being gold multiplying your coin value by 3, the next shortest being silver multiplying it by 2, and anything after that that's still within the timer gives the player the a bronze rank and the same amount of coins as collected in that level. Most of the levels have different areas, which each have to be complete before the level is finished. Each area can be finished by collecting all the coins in that area, and each level is finished by collecting all the coins in the entire level and areas within it. The coin counter will update each area, with the total amount of coins in that area, and the total coins collected in that area. Some of the levels have spikes in them, and hitting them will remove 5 seconds from the timer, and respawn the player where they spawned in that area.
Originally 21 levels was planned, with an extra 2 for every level being silver and every level being gold, but I didn't have enough time on the college assignment, and I wasn't able to go back to it as I had issues with the Unity project since then.
If I were to come back to this project I would work on adding all the levels I originally intended to, as currently most of the levels on the level select screen are unplayable. I would also like to work on the jump physics of the character, as they are a bit floaty.
